ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES ONLY:
BAC Battle is designed solely for entertainment purposes. Blood alcohol content (BAC) calculations and related features are not medically accurate and should never be used to determine your fitness to drive or make safety-related decisions. AGE REQUIREMENTS:
You must be at least 21 years old (or the legal drinking age in your jurisdiction) to use this App. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the legal drinking age.

4. Information We Collect
4.1 Information You Provide Directly
- Account Information: Username, email address, password
- Profile Information: Gender, weight, metabolism speed
- Drink Information: Details about alcoholic beverages you log (type, amount, alcohol content, time consumed)
- Social Content: Posts, comments, friend requests, and other social interactions
- Location Data: GPS coordinates when you choose to share location with your drinks (optional)
4.2 Information We Collect Automatically
- Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers
- Usage Information: App features used, time spent in app, interaction patterns

- Advertising Identifiers: Google Advertising ID (GAID) on Android for serving personalized advertisements

All payment processing is handled directly by Google Play. We never receive, store, or have access to your payment card information. Google collects and processes your payment details under their own Google Payments Privacy Notice.

- Social Features: Enable friend connections, sharing drinks, and social posts
- Mapping Features: Display your drinks on maps for friends (when location is shared)

5.2 Subscription and Purchase Data
If you are a BAC Battle Premium subscriber, we use your purchase information to:
- Verify Premium Status: Confirm your subscription is active and provide premium features
- Provide Premium Features: Unlock ad-free experience and additional features
- Customer Support: Assist with billing inquiries and subscription issues
- Legal Compliance: Maintain transaction records for tax and legal purposes

7.1 With Other Users
What other users can see depends on your Profile Visibility setting:
Public Profile
- Posts: Visible to your friends AND followers. Your posts may appear in the Discover feed and can be seen by anyone browsing your public profile (including non-friends).
- Profile Information: Basic profile information (username, profile picture) is visible to anyone.
Friends-Only Profile
- Posts: Only visible to your accepted friends. Your posts will NOT appear in the Discover feed and cannot be seen by non-friends.
- Profile Information: Basic profile information is only visible to friends.
Drinks & BAC Data (Always Friends-Only)
Important: Regardless of your profile visibility setting, your drink logs and BAC (Blood Alcohol Content) data are ALWAYS only visible to your accepted friends. Non-friends can NEVER see your drinks or BAC information, even if your profile is public.
- Drink Logs: Only visible to accepted friends
- BAC Data: Only visible to accepted friends
- Location on Drinks: When you enable GPS for drinks, location is only visible to accepted friends on the friends map
You can change your Profile Visibility setting at any time in the app under Profile → Settings.
7.2 With Service Providers
We share data with trusted third-party service providers who help us operate the app:
- Cloud Storage Providers: For secure data storage and backup
- Analytics Services: For app performance and usage analytics
- Authentication Services: For secure login and account management
- Hosting Providers: For app infrastructure and operation
7.3 With Advertising Partners
BAC Battle displays advertisements through Google AdMob. To deliver relevant advertisements, we share certain information with Google, which may include:
- Advertising ID: Your device's advertising identifier (Google Advertising ID on Android)
- Device Information: Device type, model, operating system version
- IP Address: Used to determine approximate location for ad targeting
- App Usage Data: Information about how you interact with advertisements

Opting Out of Personalized Ads: You can opt out of personalized advertising by adjusting your device settings:

Note that opting out does not prevent advertisements from being displayed; you will still see ads, but they may be less relevant to your interests.
Partnered Content
In addition to Google AdMob advertisements, BAC Battle may display sponsored content from direct advertising partners ("Partnered Posts"). These are clearly labeled with a green "Partnered" badge. For partnered posts:
- Partner Information Displayed: Partner name, logo, promotional content, and links to partner websites
- View Tracking: We track when partnered posts are viewed to measure campaign effectiveness
- Click Tracking: We record when you interact with partnered post links
- Location-Based Targeting: Partnered posts may be targeted based on your approximate location (if you've granted location permission) or based on the aggregated location of your recent drink logs
Data shared with advertising partners:
- Aggregated, anonymized statistics only (total views, total clicks)
- We do NOT share your personal information, identity, or precise location with advertising partners
7.4 With Analytics Partners (Optional)
When you choose to "Help improve the app" in your Profile Settings, we share analytics data with PostHog to help us understand how the app is used and improve your experience. This is entirely optional and you can opt out at any time.
Data collected when opted-in:
- Usage Patterns: Which features you use and how you navigate the app
- Crash Reports: Technical information when the app encounters errors
- App Interactions: Button clicks, screen views, and feature usage
- Device Information: Device type, operating system, app version

Opting Out: You can disable analytics data sharing at any time by going to Profile > Settings and turning off "Help improve the app". When disabled, no analytics data is collected or shared with PostHog.

- After Account Deletion: Purchase records required for legal compliance are anonymized and unlinked from your personal data, but may be retained for the legally required period

11. Location Data Privacy
Location sharing is entirely optional in BAC Battle:
- Explicit Consent: We only collect location data when you explicitly enable GPS for a drink
- Granular Control: You can enable/disable location sharing for individual drinks
- Easy Management: Turn location tracking on or off at any time in settings
- No Background Tracking: We don't collect location data in the background
11.1 Who Can See Your Location Data
Location data on drinks is ONLY visible to your accepted friends. Non-friends can NEVER see where you logged drinks, even if your profile is set to public. Your location-tagged drinks appear on the friends map feature, allowing friends to see where you've been drinking.
11.2 How Location Data May Be Used
In addition to showing drinks on the friends map, location data may be used:
- Aggregate Analytics: Location data may be aggregated (anonymized) to create analytical dashboards that help us understand usage patterns and improve app performance
- App Improvement: Understanding geographic usage patterns helps us optimize the app experience
Note: Any analytics use involves aggregated, anonymized data that cannot identify individual users.
11.3 Location Data for Advertising
If you have granted location permission, your approximate location may be used to show you relevant partnered content from local businesses or regional advertising campaigns. If device location is unavailable, we may use the aggregated center point of your recent drink locations to determine regional relevance for advertisements.
This location data used for advertising is:
- Used only for ad targeting relevance - to show you content relevant to your area
- Never shared with advertising partners in identifiable form - partners only receive aggregated statistics
- Never stored with your view/click interactions - we do not record your location when you view or click ads
12. Children's Privacy
BAC Battle is not intended for individuals under the legal drinking age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 21 years of age (or applicable legal drinking age). If you believe we have collected information from someone under the legal drinking age, please contact us immediately.
13. International Data Transfers
If you use BAC Battle from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for international transfers:
